Ali White is a VEIC Energy Consultant for Efficiency Vermont's commercial and industrial customers. Through that energy efficiency utility, she develops innovative energy-saving solutions tailored to their business models and strategies. She conducts technical and financial analyses to confirm the value of these solutions. Ali specializes in refrigeration energy efficiency measures and system design for grocery stores, breweries, and industrial processes. She holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Vermont.

Senior Technical Executive in the Energy Utilization Research Area, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)

Ammi leads a team of engineers and scientists in the research, development, deployment and market transformation of Energy Efficiency & Demand Responsive (EE/DR) technologies. Some of the technologies demonstrated include: advanced space conditioning systems for residential and commercial buildings, heat pump water heaters, advanced end-use smart technologies that integrate with the smart grid, and industrial process efficiency improvements. He also manages RD&D activities focused on advanced demand response (DR) applications in Energy-Water Nexus area & renewables integration, and technologies such as OpenADR and SEP. His focus also includes utility analytical techniques, such as energy meter data disaggregation, impact of energy efficiency on emissions etc, so as to make energy efficiency and demand response programs successful around the world. In his prior tenure at EPRI, Amarnath was a Senior Project Manager within the Industrial and Distributed Generation programs. His activities included the collaborative RD&D of efficient industrial technologies, advanced fuel cells and other distributed generation technologies. Amarnath received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in chemical engineering from India and a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.

Armand Saliani is a mechanical engineer, he received his Msc degree from Georgia Tech and started his career in the nuclear industry. Combining strong skills in piping design and mechanical calculation, he joined Arneg Canada in 2016 to take the lead of the engineering department for refrigerated cases. He helped starting the rack division in 2018 and is now supervising the engineering of both rack and cases.

Christina Starr is a Senior Policy Analyst leading EIA's advocacy and engagement on HFC policy in the United States. Christina has been closely involved over the past eight years in providing input into US EPA regulations and at the state level in California, Washington, and New York among others. She is also a member of several Underwriters Laboratories (UL) safety standards committees for refrigeration and air conditioning. Christina holds a Masters in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor's in International Relations from Brown University.

Dan Hamza-Goodacre has over 20 years’ experience working on climate and sustainable development. Previous roles include the Director of Buildings & Industry at ClimateWorks and the Deputy CEO of PwC’s Climate and Development Knowledge Network. Dan held various senior posts in UK government, notably at Defra and the UK Foreign Office. He is a regular speaker and moderator at conferences and has written widely on climate and development. He holds an MSc in International Development from Bristol University, where he also was a lecturer and researcher in global environmental politics. He has lived and worked in latin American rainforests and volunteers in schools to support their ‘green’ teams.

After obtaining his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002, Giacomo Pisano worked for one year as a Project Manager for General Electric's Oil & Gas division, where the core business is turbomachinery applied to the oil \\u0026 gas industry. He joined DORIN in 2003 in the R&D department, taking responsibility of the CO2 compressor development and being in charge of the product's technical qualification. Giacomo Pisano then took over several application engineering roles and is currently responsible for the CO2 compressors' business development. His current work includes collaborative efforts to address sustainability and climate impacts. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of facilities and energy management.

Kurt Liebendorfer is Vice President at Evapco in Taneytown, MD. Kurt has been in the industrial refrigeration, process cooling and construction industry for 35 years and has also worked for JCI/Frick, Stellar, Haskell and GEA/FES. Yesenia has 15 years of experience conducting audits and risk analysis for large industrial systems in occupational safety and administration of ammonia refrigeration systems and has worked for the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration, where she inspected complex chemical processes. She also worked for Americold Logistics, the largest refrigerated food warehouse company in the US. Yesenia has a Master of Public Health, specializing in occupational and Environmental Health and Safety, from the University of Alabama, as well as CARO Certification from the Association of Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians in the US.

With 20 years of experience, Yoram Shabtay is a Heat Exchanger Designer veteran with a Master’s degree in Heat and Mass Transfer. Shabtay is the head of consulting firm Heat Transfer Technologies LLC (HTT). As a licensed HVAC engineer, Yoram provides designs for current and new condenser and evaporator coils. HTT develops next-generation heat exchangers with institutions and the US DoE, and is a Technical Advisor to the International Copper Association, providing guidance and designs for all types of HVAC and refrigeration systems. Yoram regularly speaks at conferences about new upcoming heat-exchanger technologies and related development work. HTT also works with industry leaders providing prototype heat-exchanger service for evaluation.
