Due to the recent global developments with the COVID-19 health crisis, ATMOsphere Asia 2020 will take place in a digital format November 17th to the 18th!

The Cooling as a Service Initiative is a global effort launched in early 2019 by BASE and K-CEP to scale up investments in clean and efficient cooling by mainstreaming the Cooling as a Service business model. CaaS involves building and business owners paying for the cooling service instead of investing in the infrastructure that delivers the cooling.

Within BASE, Dimitris plays a key role in accelerating the deployment of the CaaS model worldwide; supporting technology assessment, business development, and solution implementation. Franziska has 10 years of professional experience in the field of climate-friendly technologies in HVAC&R, working with the private and public sector. At the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), she is working on the cross-sectoral development and implementation of projects related to the Montreal Protocol and the phase down of HFCs. One of the key objectives of current projects is the establishment of partnerships between national and international technology suppliers and linking them with financing institutions and mechanisms to facilitate investments for supporting the introduction of best available NatRef, energy-efficient technologies and practices in developing countries. Franziska holds a Master’s degree in Business and Economics from Humboldt University in Berlin and a degree in International Management from Bordeaux Business School.

Indy has worked in the refrigeration & air conditioning industry for the past 23 years, mainly around natural refrigerants within the commercial and industrial refrigeration sector. Over the past 14 years, he has been involved in a number of CO2 projects within APAC and running training programs across the region to promote the use of CO2. Having recently joined Beijer Ref, Indy is tasked with further promoting the use of natural refrigerant solutions and products across the Asia-Pacific Region.

Jan holds a Doctor of Engineering degree in System Design from Hosei University in Tokyo and a Master’s degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague. During his studies, and research undertaken in the USA, Europe and Japan, Jan has centered his academic focus on environmental technologies and marketing strategies. Having lived in Japan for over 13 years, Jan communicates fluently in Japanese and has a rich experience cooperating with Japanese industry. Jan is currently based in Tokyo, responsible for business/market development activities and monitoring Asian markets on behalf of ATMOsphere Japan. He is also the global COO for ATMOsphere (formerly shecco).

Onofre Escota has worked for a long period of time as Project Evaluation and Monitoring Officer/Coordinator of the Philippine Ozone Desk – Environmental Management Bureau. He is mainly focused on the licensing of ODS and HFC importation through online monitoring and permitting systems, coordinating and monitoring all stakeholders in relation to phase out programs of the Montreal Protocol and its amendments. In addition, he is involved in the Annual Country Report Programme and Article 7 Report to the Ozone and Multilateral Fund Secretariat, as well as participation in the establishment of policy and standards in different sectors of ODS and HFC applications including illegal trade. Ecosta obtained a Bachelor of Science in the Mechanical Engineering Course at FEATI University.

Willy is a Licensed Mechanical Engineer from the University of Santo Tomas with 34 years of work experience in engineering and business. He currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Frabelle Group of Companies for Cold Chain and Power Generation Projects. Frabelle is into commercial cold storage operations for more than 20 years, and one of the pioneer members of the Cold Chain Association of the Philippines, and Willy has been a Director for 3 terms. He spearheaded the project designs and have managed the construction and operations of 7 cold storages, and handled other major projects of Frabelle such as processing facilities and an ice plant.

Director Cuñado served as regional director for EMB-Region 7 since 2013. He started working with government in 1985 as Pollution Control Technician II for the National Pollution Control Commission (NPCC). In 1989, he was promoted as Supervising Environmental Management Specialist in DENR-Region 7 and was tasked to be the officer-in-charge of the Environmental Impact Assessment Division in EMB-Region 7 from 2000-2013.  Director Cuñado graduated from the University of San Carlos with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masteral Degree in Business Administration from the same university.
