Wil van den Kerkhof, Servex Refrigeration and Freezing Technology | Speaker at ATMOsphere conference on sustainable natural refrigerants technologies

Technical Director, Servex Refrigeration and Freezing Technology

Wil van den Kerkhof

”Refrigeration technology was instilled in me from the very beginning”. With Servex at home, founded in 1974 by his father, Wil grew up. After completing various training and courses and internships outside Servex, he and his brother took over the business in 2005. But times were changing. ”Traditional, synthetic refrigerants have had their day,” he firmly believes. They are an enormous burden to the environment, are becoming increasingly rare and prices are skyrocketing. There is an alternative: natural refrigerants. That’s why Servex has decided that starting in 2014, only refrigeration systems with natural refrigerants will go out the door. Effective, safe and economical. In 2020, he and Servex made an entire flat gasless in one day. This through a plug and play installation, on propane, with more to follow…. ”My biggest motivation is to make refrigeration more sustainable”
