About the Event

The ATMOsphere Networking side event on “PFAS and persistent chemicals: the state of play in Europe with focus on refrigerants in HVAC&R systems” will be held during the 45th Open Ended Working Group (OEWG) of the United Nation’s Montreal Protocol in Bangkok, Thailand.

Venue

Attendees and delegates joining the week of negotiations are welcomed to room CR-3 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok on Monday 3 July 2023 from 13.00 to 15.00 local time.

Conference Content

Beside ATMOsphere’s experts, representatives of the Norwegian Environment Agency and the German environmental consultancy Öko-Recherche will explain to the Parties’ delegates the grounds for this policy initiative tackling “forever chemicals”, with specific reference to refrigerants used in HVAC&R systems.

This event will include brief presentations, and a Q&A session. A light lunch will be served before the kick off of the event.
