ATMOsphere Network at the 48th OEWG of the UN Montreal Protocol 2026

The ATMOsphere Network side events will be held during the 48th Open Ended Working Group (OEWG) of the United Nation’s Montreal Protocol in Bangkok, Thailand.

These side events aim to highlight the critical importance of transitioning to PFAS-free alternatives in the heating and cooling sectors, showcasing latest research on HFOs, market readiness for alternatives, recent technological advancements, and the latest policy developments impacting the global move away from these forever chemicals.
The events will include brief presentations, and Q&A sessions. See more information about the speakers in the detailed programme below.
Moderator: Marc Chasserot, Founder & CEO, ATMOsphere and President, Coalition for PFAS free Cooling and Heating
Joanna Sparks, Climate Campaigner (ODS and F gases), Environmental Investigation Agency UK (EIA) will present the latest science on TFA.
Cinzia Verzeletti, Senior Campaigner, ATMOsphere and PFAS free Cooling and Heating will present the Coalition’s work modelling TFA emissions.
Roman Heckt, Global Chief Engineer for natural refrigerant systems, HANON Systems will present TFA emissions modelling from mobile air conditioning (MAC)
systems.
