ABOUT THE EVENT

ATMOsphere will host three side events as part of the the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28), held in Dubai, UAE.

Attendees joining the COP28, with access to the Blue Zone, are welcome to the Pavilion 140 Thematic Area 3 – Energy Transition.

The ATMOsphere Network side events will see experts discuss thoroughly heating and cooling solutions based on natural refrigerants as truly future proof technologies that can be adopted worldwide, elaborating on the latest regulatory efforts tackling fluorinated substances.

These side events will include brief presentations, and Q&A sessions. Tea and coffee will be served before and after the events.

Kenneth is a Product Manager for Heat Pumps solutions at GEA. This role involves the development of industrial heat pumps application and training of GEA’s global sales team. He has acquired a broad knowledge of industrial ammonia heat pump applications through many installations with capacities from 200 kW to 40,000 kW. With applications stretching from Dairies, Food processing, Combined heat and power, and ground source heat pumps. With the continued development of the market, he has also been involved in the exploration of new Heat Pump technologies with CO2 and hydrocarbons.

Published numerous reports for industry and policy-makers, chaired over 70 ATMOsphere conferences worldwide. Marc has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and America. He holds several degrees in Economics, Marketing and Politics.

Thomas is Deputy Manager for Public Affairs, dealing with files related to ozone depletion, climate change, energy and chemicals. He regularly contributes to ATMOsphere’s industry-dedicated media outlets www.R744.com, www.ammonia21.com and www.hydrocarbons21.com with policy-relevant articles. Before joining ATMOsphere, Thomas worked at the European Commission’s competition department for state aid in the energy sector.
